b) – expenses with these Westie puppies up to the optimal age for reproduction: super premium food, quality vitamins, Westie grooming products, hygiene, training, exhibitions, health tests, vaccines, etc.
c) – If the Westie male chosen for breeding is not owned by the breeder, he will have to take the female to another breeder, which involves other costs plus the cost of the actual breeding.
d) – for the gestation period, the female needs extra care, special food that is much more expensive than the adult one, ultrasound, vitamins, etc. For calving, veterinary care may be needed, and some breeds or females may experience complications that require a cesarean section. It is often necessary to help the female, supplementing the puppies’ food with special milk powder. Then the westie puppies are passed on special beans and cans and powdered milk again to facilitate weaning. Internal deworming and vaccines.
